Pradon Ranch
Maverick CountyDESCRIPTION
The Pradon Ranch is 766 +/- acres located along the Rio Grande River in southern Maverick county and is both a working cattle ranch and sportsman paradise. Multiple irrigated fields, stock ponds, river and creek frontage, and improvements make this a unique South Texas ranch.
Water: The highlight of this ranch is the abundance of water. Not only does the property have one mile of river frontage, but Indio Creek also traverses the ranch for over a mile. Nine earthen ponds can be found on the property, landing in size 1-5 acres. There are also 417 acres enrolled in the local water district allowing for an allocation of irrigation water on an annual basis.
Habitat/Vegetation: The Pradon Ranch is predominately open pasture land currently in hay production with dense brush and native browse outlay. This combination of open space, thick native vegetation, and live water comfortably provide many inhabitants.
Improvements: Two houses, a ranch foreman home, and workers home. Four barns for storage of equipment and hay. Three cattle pens.
